Joni and Denny - L'Auberge de Sedona, Sedona, Arizona
We recently had the most unusual commission to date. Karen Lynn a popular Sedona wedding coordinator, approached us about a client of hers that had already contracted our friend Anne McCarthy and Jim Baker, of One Fine Day Photography, but liked our work so much that they wanted to integrate us into their wedding somehow. Since Anne was already going to provide her marvelous coverage of the wedding story, they asked us to get candids and portraits of their guests, whom they hold very dearly.
We had a great time shooting during the cocktail hour, and then also during the reception, where we set up an area to get character shots of guests ~ photobooth-style. The resulting images are a lot of fun and we hope you enjoy them!
When we have time during receptions, we incorporate this into our coverage as well.
Thank you Joni and Denny for loving all your guests so much, and letting us take such fun images of them!

Here's a fun picture of ' the crew.' Anne and Jim from One Fine Day Photography, and the guys at Point in Time Productions... everyone was a blast to work with!

Joni and Denny's exit for the evening was amazing! Their guests lit the way with gigantic sparklers. Here's a bird's-eye view of it:

wow! Those are cool. I wonder how you set that up?
Hey Cameron! Andrew here.. Glad you like the shots! We have a *ton* of great frames from that event, too bad we can't just post them all! Maybe we'll update this post later with a slideshow...(?)
The lighting setup was simple; 1 stand w/550ex mounted, 1 diffuser placed in front of that strobe, and 1 on-camera strobe bounced. Depending upon how crazy the ' character' subjects got, we'd adjust the position of the strobe on the stand and the diffuser in front of it... The on-camera strobe was left alone, pretty much, because the bounce provided enough ambient light. The results, what you see above!
Thanks for your comment, Cameron! Best to your hubby! hug hug!
Where are your posts! What have you've guys been up to? Just fyi, Chris tagged you with this blog thing that is going around amongs photographers, cooridinators, etc. Check it out. We'll talk to you soon! :) Hope all is well.
