Digital Wedding Forum Univeristy - San Antonio ~ Day Two

So here we are at day two of our 4 day excursion to San Antonio for the Digital Wedding Forum's ' University - Part II.'

Today's class was offered by Huy Nguyen of F8 Studios in Dallas. Huy is an award-winning photojournalist that has worked for several of the big newspapers, and is also the nicest, funniest, and hippest guy you could ever meet!

To sum up Huy's work, expect to walk into a nice bookstore someday and find a gigantic tome featuring Huy's work from beginning to present. Huy has an incredible knack for identifying the irony of life and situations and then capturing it all with amazing grace. Thanks for sharing your day with us, Huy! You influence everyone who is lucky enough to get to know you! ( hug hug..)

Since the class was indoors all day we did not do any shooting, so what we'll do is post a few more images from yesterday's model shoot with the Boutwells.

Digital Wedding Forum Univeristy - San Antonio ~ Day One

So here we are attending a seminar in beautiful San Antonio, Texas, just blocks away from the ' Riverwalk,' a cool canal that runs through central old-town San Antonio that is jam-packed with bars, restaurants, etc... It's a really neat!

Today's class was given by Chenin and Doug Boutwell, a husband and wife extraordinaire photographer team. ' WOW!!' barely sums up their talent and the wisdom they shared today! Thanks to them for sharing so much with so many others!

Doug and Chenin are from SoCal ( Southern California), near where we originally started Sedona Bride in LA, so their approach to their work is very informal, yet absolutely cutting-edge for their style. One of the taglines for this class is " Unleash Your Inner Bad-Ass." :) Part of how they stressed that we, as students, personify this is to identify and be true to our personal styles as artists. When we do this it will naturally flow thru to all other aspects of our business.

We did a model shoot as part of the class, so I wanted to post some of the pictures. Enjoy!!

We just finished putting together a slideshow for some of the album options we offer. Currently we offer Mini Books, Coffee Table Books, and Heirloom Albums.

The Mini Book is a 5x5 book of our favorite 100 images. It's small enough that it can fit into a purse, and is a great way to show the story of your day. Typically we have more than 100 images that are our faves, so it's really hard to get it down to 100!



The Coffee Table Book is a custom printed book with satin pages, a glossy book cover, and is most like the type of fine art book you could buy at a nice bookstore.




The Heirloom Album is a generally a leather-bound ' tome' that is also custom designed. We do offer metallic covers as well. One option is to have an image from the wedding featured on the cover, as well as the bride and groom's names and wedding date embossed into it. The pages are thick and durable, and are actually photographic prints that are mounted onto a rigid paper ( pressboard). These albums are amazing to see and hold!
